Details1930s - 1940s wooden spool for silk. I looked up the patent #1987991 on the side of the spool and it dates to 1935. Not exactly sure where Blue Bird Silk MFG. CO. Was located but I know it was in New York.
Markings: “44 BLUE BIRD SILK MFG. CO. INC 5” and “LESTERSHIRE PAT. NO 1987991”
Some wear to the lettering but overall in very nice condition for its age.

Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:

Conditions of return
Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.

Gift wrapping and packaging

How do you handle refunds for items received damaged?
All of our domestic shipments are insured. Just send us photos of the damaged item(s) and packaging within 3 days of receipt and we will issue an immediate refund, including original shipping charges. International Buyers will need to seek refunds from the shipping carrier; Bleak House 302 will be happy to provide you with purchase receipts, if needed.
What if I'm unhappy with the item once received?
We strive to do our best to accurately represent every item by photos and written description. We do not want unhappy customers! :( You may return any undamaged/unused item within 7 days of receipt for a full credit of the sale price, less original shipping charges (for FREE SHIPPING items, our original shipping charges will be deducted; proof of cost available). Returned shipping charges to Bleak House 302 are non-refundable.
