Details19th century No. 9 Gatemark Cast Iron Skillet. This isn't just a piece of cookware; it’s a functional piece of American history. Featuring a less common "fancy" exterior upper rim trim and a distinctive, extra-wide single pouring spout, this skillet stands out from the typical gate-marked pans of the era.
This piece has undergone a professional restoration process to bring it back to its former glory. Lightly seasoned, no chips, no cracks, and no repairs. Sits flat with no wobbles. The interior is remarkably smooth, providing that coveted vintage non-stick potential.
The exterior bottom shows minor sulfur pitting, a common and honest sign of its age and use over wood-fired or coal stoves a century ago. It does not affect the performance or structural integrity.
Notice the unique font/styling on the "9" embossed on the handle—less common than standard block numbering found on typical gate-marked iron.

Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.

How do you handle refunds for items received damaged?
All of our domestic shipments are insured. Just send us photos of the damaged item(s) and packaging within 3 days of receipt and we will issue an immediate refund, including original shipping charges. International Buyers will need to seek refunds from the shipping carrier; Bleak House 302 will be happy to provide you with purchase receipts, if needed.
What if I'm unhappy with the item once received?
We strive to do our best to accurately represent every item by photos and written description. We do not want unhappy customers! :( You may return any undamaged/unused item within 7 days of receipt for a full credit of the sale price, less original shipping charges (for FREE SHIPPING items, our original shipping charges will be deducted; proof of cost available). Returned shipping charges to Bleak House 302 are non-refundable.
